Vietjet launches direct Colombo–Ho Chi Minh City route
Vietjet has officially launched a new direct route linking Colombo in Sri Lanka with Ho Chi Minh City, adding a fresh air link between South Asia and Southeast Asia.
According to the airline, the service operates three round trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flights depart Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 6:15 p.m. local time and arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport at 9:50 p.m.
The return leg leaves Colombo at 11:00 p.m. and lands in Ho Chi Minh City at 5:55 a.m. the following day.
The new nonstop service is expected to shorten travel time significantly and make leisure, business, and trade trips more convenient for passengers on both sides.
For Ho Chi Minh City, the route further strengthens the city’s role as one of Vietjet’s key regional gateways.
For travelers departing Sri Lanka, it also opens smoother access to Vietjet’s wider Asia-Pacific network.
The move highlights how Vietnamese carriers are continuing to push deeper into high-potential regional markets.
