Vietjet Takes Two Honors at the 2026 Flyers’ Choice Awards
Vietjet has won two categories at AirlineRatings’ 2026 Flyers’ Choice Awards: Favourite Low-Cost Carrier and Best Cabin Crew Uniform. Because the awards are decided by traveler voting rather than a judging panel, the result provides a direct snapshot of how passengers perceive an airline’s brand and onboard experience.
Around 40,000 verified votes were recorded in this year’s awards. For a low-cost carrier, winning both a broad preference category and a visual-brand category suggests that passengers are looking beyond headline fares. Schedule convenience, service consistency, cabin presentation and a recognizable identity can all influence how an airline is remembered and chosen.
Vietjet’s red cabin-crew uniform has become one of its most visible brand signatures. The design combines a youthful look with details such as bow ties, caps and checked patterns, giving it a distinct appearance compared with more traditional airline uniforms. As the carrier expands internationally, that visual consistency also helps reinforce brand recognition outside Vietnam.
AirlineRatings also highlighted factors such as Vietjet’s network, newer-generation aircraft, competitive fares and onboard options. The carrier offers a range of hot meals, drinks and retail items on selected services, and it continues to hold AirlineRatings’ seven-star safety rating under the organization’s own assessment system.
For travelers, an award should not replace a practical comparison of baggage rules, fare conditions, departure times and the final trip cost. Still, the 2026 voting result is a notable sign of the Vietnamese carrier’s growing visibility in international markets, particularly as competition among low-cost airlines across the Asia-Pacific region continues to intensify.
