Vietnam Airlines launched an additional afternoon service between Osaka and Hanoi on 26 October 2026. The airline announced the launch on 29 October, giving travellers another option as they plan year-end journeys between Japan and Vietnam.

The initial addition of four weekly round trips takes the route to 11 round trips a week. In its latest announcement, the airline says the total is expected to reach 14 from 30 November 2026. The expansion adds capacity to an existing route and provides a wider choice of travel times.
