Vietnam’s e-visa remains valid for up to 90 days, giving travelers more flexibility

According to the Immigration Department’s electronic portal, Vietnam’s e-visa is currently valid for up to 90 days and may be issued on either a single-entry or multiple-entry basis.

The framework continues to give international travelers more room to plan flexible trips, especially those mixing business and leisure or those needing to re-enter Vietnam within one broader itinerary.

The portal states that foreigners who are outside Vietnam may apply directly for an e-visa if they hold a valid passport and do not fall into cases barred from entry under Vietnamese law.

The published fee remains US$25 for a single-entry e-visa and US$50 for a multiple-entry e-visa, with processing generally taking about three working days after submission and payment.

During the application process, travelers must upload a portrait photo and a passport data-page image that meet the system’s technical requirements; incomplete or incorrect information may cause the application to be rejected.

For passengers flying to Vietnam, early application, passport-validity checks and carrying a printed copy of the approved e-visa remain practical steps for smoother airport processing.
